Ethics in the Workplace
Although ethics are established by a group of people, they still tend to vary from person to person because of different factors that influence a person's life. From my perspective, ethics should be reinforced in the workplace because there are millions of jobs in which making ethical decisions can impact millions of lives. For example, politicians have always had ethical issues as shown through the different parties they create to represent different beliefs. The two most popular political parties (Democrats and Republicans) show how their is a split between the country on where the majority of the country stands when it comes to ethical issues. This clearly shows how important ethics are in the workplace because even though both political parties think their beliefs on ethics are right, in the end only one party gets their ethical perspective across America as a law. There are many jobs in which it may seem like they aren't as impacting but they can still essentially affect an individual or a group of individuals. Therefore, ethics in the workplace should be taken seriously.

I totally agree with you it could not be explained any better. Eventually a decision from a political party effects all the workers around the country. But, businesses are still greedy enough to expect more from cheap labor. But, the one that should have the most ethics in the workplace should be research labs for cancer. Their is a cure but the cancer industry is making billions that they would lose every year.
ReplyDeleteYour last sentence struck a note with me because I wasn't sure to "the cure" you are talking about. I guess the fact is that there is not just one cancer, but a plethora of cancers that may even attack differently. I know there are some cancers that can be beat, especially if caught early, but then there are others that the researchers are still working on a cure. I am interested in hearing more about what you are referring to..
DeleteGaby, your insight to ethics in the workplace will definitely be useful for your future career interest. ReplyDeleteI agree that there is ethics everywhere not just in the workplace in general. I like the way you explain it good because it couldn't get any better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and Juan, ethics in the workplace are key. Not only that the cancer industry is very greedy and they are enjoying the money they are making off of everyone. It is a great example of an industry not using ethics. I'm sure there are people in the industry trying to make things better.
ReplyDeleteYea I guess sounds about right. I didn't know what ethics meant now I do thanks to you Gaby.
