Working with Co-Workers
Co-workers don't necessarily have to be your friends, however it is important to at least get along with them because you have to work with them every time you go to work. It can also benefit you because it can help you expand in job opportunities. I also think that by being friends with your co-workers it can really help make your job more bearable if you have a job you dislike. Co-workers can make a job easier as well because if you work well together you can get work done more efficiently. I personally, have only had a job once and since I worked with my friend, I remember it being less boring than if I would have worked by myself. In the end, work is what you make of it and sometimes co-workers can benefit you in various ways.

Ethics in the Workplace
Although ethics are established by a group of people, they still tend to vary from person to person because of different factors that influence a person's life. From my perspective, ethics should be reinforced in the workplace because there are millions of jobs in which making ethical decisions can impact millions of lives. For example, politicians have always had ethical issues as shown through the different parties they create to represent different beliefs. The two most popular political parties (Democrats and Republicans) show how their is a split between the country on where the majority of the country stands when it comes to ethical issues. This clearly shows how important ethics are in the workplace because even though both political parties think their beliefs on ethics are right, in the end only one party gets their ethical perspective across America as a law. There are many jobs in which it may seem like they aren't as impacting but they can still essentially affect an individual or a group of individuals. Therefore, ethics in the workplace should be taken seriously.

My Future Career Interests
Six years from now, I plan on having a job that I will enjoy and that will help me earn enough money to have a stable home. Specifically, I want to become a corporate financial adviser in a big company. To get this job, I know that I will have to graduate from UCI and then attend a business graduate school. I am planning on getting my Master of Business Administration from the Paul Merage School of Business at UCI. I also plan on interning while I am in college so that I can gain work experience in my field of interest. I know that if I follow through with these steps I have planned, I will get a good job that I will enjoy in the future.

Communicating in High School
In high school, communication is a very important part of your overall experience. One of the best benefits of communicating is meeting new people which can lead to meeting a new friend or perhaps even your best friend. Although, making friends in high school is important, communicating with your teacher is also essential because it can help you do better in your classes. Expressing yourself in high school can at times be hard or intimidating but in my opinion, it should never stop you from enjoying high school. My experience with communicating in high school has helped me improve my public speaking skills because when I was younger, that was always my biggest fear. Luckily, in high school, my teachers helped me become less scared and more confident. However, in the end, communication is a life skill that we will always need whether were in high school or not.

Interesting Words
Over the past few years, the rapid growth of technology has made communicating easier which as a result has allowed anyone to have access to millions of websites including social media. However, this has triggered students to decline in their good writing skills. Some slang words that are constantly being used include smh (shaking my head), lol (laugh out loud), and omw (on my way); these are shortcuts constantly being used by students in high school across America. According to U.S. News, even college admissions officers are noticing that over the past years they have been receiving essays in which students write as if they were talking. Many admissions officers have tossed those types of essays to the side. Some teachers reported that they believe some students aren't aware of this and although some teachers let it go by, one professor stated that he considers this "dumbing down of culture". In conclusion, because slang can affect students in the long run, teachers who notice this should teach students the difference between slang and more formal writing.
